Monday, August 24, 2026 - Kapsaret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi left mourners in stitches after lecturing the son of the late Major Michael Maina Rotich, urging him to quit alcohol and find a wife.

The vocal MP called Maina’s son to the podium and asked him why he was afraid to woo ladies, noting that there were many women looking for spouses.

“Umeshindwa tu na kuongelesha msichana,” Sudi posed as he urged the young man to start a family.

Sudi noted that the late Maina was a respected member of the community and expressed concern that his legacy risked fading if his son failed to settle down and start a family.

He further promised to sponsor Maina’s son’s dowry ceremony, while encouraging him to quit alcohol, which he noted had taken a toll on him.
