Sunday, August 9, 2026 - A tragic accident occurred at Ikonge main stage in Nyamira County after a matatu lost control and rammed into worshippers during a crusade.
A
video shared online shows the worshippers, including children, singing and
dancing, unaware of the tragedy that was about to unfold.
The
matatu reportedly had a brake failure before ramming into the bystanders.
Children
can be heard in the terrifying video crying out for their mothers while
desperately trying to flee from the scene.
Several
people reportedly died on the spot, while others sustained serious injuries and
were rushed to hospital for treatment.
