Friday, August 7, 2026 - Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Director Mohamed Amin has identified PC Elijah Kibelion Kimoi as the police officer investigators have linked to the fatal shooting of Dr. Victoria Mutiso.
Kimoi, who was attached to Karinde Police Post under Kikuyu
Police Station, has since been arrested as investigations into the
circumstances surrounding the death continue.
Addressing the press, Amin said a thorough analysis of
evidence, including forensic findings, had enabled detectives to identify the
officer they allege pulled the trigger.
“Thorough analysis of evidence has further established the
identity of the officer who pulled the trigger. One PC Elijah Kibelion Kimoi,
attached to Karinde Police Post under Kikuyu Police Station, has equally been

The DCI boss added that investigators had forensically
placed Kimoi at the scene of the fatal shooting.
“We were able to forensically place him to the scene of the
fatal shooting. He is the individual identified as having fatally shot Dr
Mutiso,” Amin added.
Away from his criminal activities, Kimoi’s social media
