Friday, July 31, 2026- Detectives have launched investigations after a cache of ammunition and an imitation firearm were recovered from a rented house along Kangundo Road following a report by a concerned caretaker.

According to police reports, officers recovered 320 rounds of assorted ammunition and an imitation firearm from a rental house located at KCC Lane One.

The discovery was made after the apartment's caretaker became suspicious of the conduct of one of the tenants, identified as Wilson Ngumo.

The caretaker reportedly told police that the tenant had been absent from the house for extended periods and would only return during odd hours of the night.

He also revealed that the tenant had defaulted on paying rent for two months, raising further suspicion.

Acting on the information, detectives visited the premises and conducted a search, leading to the recovery of the ammunition and the imitation firearm.

Police have since launched investigations to establish the origin of the recovered items, their intended use, and the whereabouts of the tenant.
