Friday, June 12, 2026 - A man who claims to be the biological father of Mumias East Member of Parliament, Peter Salasya, has revealed that he lives with deep regret for abandoning the legislator during his childhood.
According to the man, who appears to be struggling in life
despite his son's political success, he never imagined that Salasya would one
day rise to become a Member of Parliament.
“Nilifanya vibaya kuacha huyo kijana akiwa mdogo,” he
said, with regret seemingly written all over his face.
The man went on to praise Salasya's leadership skills and
expressed admiration for the achievements he has made despite growing up
without a father figure.
He also claimed that all his sons are successful in their
respective fields and disclosed that, apart from Salasya, he has two other
sons.
Salasya was raised single-handedly by his mother, who played
a key role in shaping his life and career.
The outspoken legislator rarely speaks about his father and
has never publicly acknowledged him.
