Thursday, November 6, 2025 - Kenyans online are expressing outrage after photos surfaced showing massive destruction of forest cover barely a week after President William Ruto lifted the ban on logging.

user posted photos from his locality, showing vast areas stripped bare of
trees, leaving behind barren land and piles of felled logs.
“Someone decided to harvest
all trees and leave the land bare,” he tweeted.
Many Kenyans condemned what they termed as reckless
exploitation of natural resources, warning that the short-term gains will cause
long-term environmental devastation.
