Saturday, August 22, 2026 – U.S based Kenyan medic and lifestyle content creator, Nurse Judy, has sparked debate on social media after revealing the financial reality behind her seemingly enviable paycheck.
Taking to Instagram, she disclosed that she earned about
$10,000 (KSh1.3 million) in just six days, only to see nearly $3,000 (KSh390,000)
deducted in taxes.
“6 days pay coming to 10k, but taxes taking a whole $3000 is always painful, ain’t gonna lie… like whyyyy!!??
“Just let me have my 10k clean Godammit!! “It’s always painful,” she
wrote in her viral post,
The significant tax bill has put into perspective how high
incomes abroad can come with equally high responsibilities.
