SHOCK as a woman’s body is discovered hidden inside a water tank used by family in Gatundu North (PHOTOs)

Wednesday, August 12, 2026 - Shock has engulfed a family in the Inoorero area of Kamunyaka Githobokoni Ward, Gatundu North, after the body of a woman was discovered hidden inside a water tank that the family had been using.

The decomposing body was reportedly discovered inside the tank, leaving residents and members of the family stunned by the disturbing incident.

Following the discovery, the body was retrieved and moved to the General Kago Funeral Home in Thika, where it is being preserved as investigations continue.

Police officers have launched investigations to establish the identity of the woman, how she ended up inside the water tank and the circumstances surrounding her death.

The incident has left residents in the area deeply concerned, with investigators working to establish whether the woman was known to the family and how long the body had been inside the tank.
