Sunday, August 23, 2026 - Kiambaa Member of Parliament John Njuguna alias Kawanjiku has reportedly dumped his wife and married his side chick in an invite-only traditional wedding ceremony hosted in Limuru.
According to popular Kikuyu blogger Githaiga Wa Chai,
Kawanjiku and his estranged wife fell out after he informed her that he was
planning to marry a second wife.
She clearly told him that she was not ready to be in a
polygamous marriage, leading to a nasty breakup.
Before they officially parted ways, Kawanjiku had reportedly
been mistreating his wife.
He took her Mercedes-Benz GLE and gave it to his side chick,
now his wife.
He is also said to have kicked his wife out of their
matrimonial home, forcing her to rent a house in Thindigua, where she currently
stays with their children.
Interestingly, Kawanjiku, who grew up in abject poverty after
his father absconded parental responsibilities, was educated by his ex-wife’s
father.
So secret was the wedding to his side-chick-turned-wife that
no photos or videos were allowed.
Heavy security had also been deployed over fears that his
estranged wife might storm into the ceremony and cause drama.
