Friday, August 21, 2026 - A video showing staff members at a local water bottling plant packaging water into bottles has sparked concern over hygiene standards.
The video was shared by one of the staff members on social
media, seemingly unaware that it would attract widespread attention and raise
questions about the safety of bottled water.
In the video, workers are seen using their bare hands while
handling the bottles during the packaging process, prompting concerns among
social media users over possible health risks to consumers.
One social media user expressed concern over the hygiene practices, saying:
“Hygiene standards in water bottling are non-negotiable;
bare hands on product that’s meant to be consumed is a real risk, especially in
a country where waterborne diseases still kill.”
Another user said the video had reinforced their decision to
only purchase bottled water from well-known companies.
“That’s why I always stick to reputable companies when it
comes to bottled water,” the user wrote.

The Ministry of Health should close this small kiosk in the name of water company. You cannot handle drinking water without wearing gloves; this is definitely unhealthy pic.twitter.com/2YDwXDuQcK
