Brother to late Emurua Dikirr MP JOHANA NG’ENO dies a day after GACHAGUA visited family and offered to help him

Saturday, August 22, 2026 - Paul Ng’eno, the brother of former Emurua Dikirr Member of Parliament (MP) Johana Ng’eno, has died, just a day after Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) leader Rigathi Gachagua visited the family and pledged to support his treatment.

The death was confirmed on Saturday, August 22, by the late Johana’s former Personal Assistant, Bernard Ng’eno alias Arap Buluu:

“I convey my message of condolences to the family of Arap Temas, for the loss of Paul Ng’eno, who was brother to the late Hon. Johana Ng’eno.

“We say pole to Mama Mary and the whole family,” he stated.

Paul passed away on Friday evening while receiving medical care at a hospital in Eldoret.

His condition had deteriorated despite ongoing treatment.

His demise came hours after Gachagua committed to clearing the KSh1.8 million hospital bill that had accrued.

During his visit, Gachagua accused the government of abandoning Mama Mary Temas and her family.

“I have told Ng’eno’s mother that we will take care of the bill. Together with my friends, we will settle the matter and ensure that her son, who is in hospital, is taken care of,” he said.

In his condolence message, Gachagua acknowledged the depth of Mama Mary’s grief.

“No words of consolation are strong enough for you at this moment, but only God’s grace is sufficient… It is truly painful to lose your two sons within a short period,” he said.

He extended sympathies to the people of Emurua Dikirr, urging them to draw strength from faith as they mourn.

“May the soul of Paul Ng’eno rest in eternal peace, and may perpetual light shine upon him forever,” he added.
