Friday, July 31, 2026 - Detectives in Kiambu County have launched a manhunt for two suspects who attacked and robbed a couple after they were involved in a road accident in Kikuyu Sub-County early Thursday.
The incident occurred at about 5:30 a.m. at the KARLO
Forest-Renguti Junction in the Kerwa area, where what began as a traffic
accident escalated into a violent robbery.
According to investigators at Kikuyu Police Station, the
couple was driving home in a Mercedes-Benz when the driver lost control of the
vehicle, causing it to veer off the road and land in a ditch on a nearby farm.
Police said the suspects took advantage of the accident,
attacked the couple, robbed them of their valuables, and assaulted one of the
victims before fleeing the scene.
Detectives have since launched a manhunt for the two suspects as investigations into the incident continue.
