Wednesday, June 3, 2026 - Netizens have reacted to a video of Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale appearing to disrespect Deputy President Kithure Kindiki during the just-concluded Madaraka Day celebrations attended by President William Ruto and other senior Government officials in Wajir.
In the video, President Ruto is seen moving around greeting Government
officials from Wajir County who had lined up to receive him.
DP Kindiki and CS Duale are following the President closely
as he greets the officials.
Duale is seen removing a cap from one of the officials and
handing it in the direction of DP Kindiki, despite it appearing to be covered
in sweat due to the scorching heat in Wajir.
The gesture has since been interpreted by some as
disrespectful.
“Ile madharau iko kwa huyu CS wa Health Aden Duale ni
mbaya sana. Ama wanataka kumuua profesa na magonjwa? Yaani anavua kofia mtu na
iko na jasho halafu anampea profesa Kithure Kindiki avae. Ama naona zangu?”
an X user wrote.
“These people don’t respect Kindiki,” another user wrote.
