Thursday, April 30, 2026 - The body of Mzee Edwin Koech, father to Roads and Transport Cabinet Secretary, Hon. Davis Chirchir, was airlifted by a military helicopter to Kipketii in Bomet County for burial.
The remains arrived at Kipsonoi Primary School grounds where
a night vigil was held ahead of the funeral ceremony.
The burial drew high‑profile attendance, with President William Ruto among senior Government officials who joined mourners to pay their last respects.
