2026 - The family of slain city lawyer, Tom Imbukwa, is struggling to come
to terms with his tragic and painful death, with his sister sharing a
heartbreaking account of his final moments.
In an emotional Facebook post, she revealed that the family
received a distress call on Sunday while still in the village, informing them
that a man, badly injured and covered in blood, had identified himself as their
relative.
Imbukwa had suffered severe injuries, including five
fractured ribs, chest trauma, internal bleeding, and a badly damaged eye.
Doctors also discovered blood and air trapped in his lungs,
prompting an emergency procedure at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH).
Despite briefly regaining consciousness and speaking to his
sister, his condition deteriorated.
He was later moved for intensive care and intubated, but his
oxygen levels remained critically low.
Hours later, the family received the devastating news of his
death.
Police believe he may have been attacked elsewhere and
dumped at the scene.
Investigations into the brutal assault are ongoing.
