Tuesday, March 31, 2026 - Controversial city preacher, James Maina Ng’ang’a, of Neno Evangelism Church is once again trending online after a video emerged showing him selling what he described as “anointed bread” to his congregants.
In the widely circulated clip, Ng’ang’a is seen at the
pulpit holding a loaf of bread, which he proceeds to cut into small pieces.
He then calls on congregants interested in receiving the
bread to pay Ksh 1,000 per piece, claiming it had been blessed.
Several worshippers are seen moving quickly toward the
pulpit, handing over money in exchange for the bread.
Within a short span, the preacher appears to collect a
significant amount, exceeding Ksh 10,000 in under a minute.
The video has sparked mixed reactions online, with some
Kenyans criticizing Ng’ang’a for taking advantage of his flock to enrich
himself.
