Thursday, March 12, 2026 - A distressed mother has shared a heartbreaking video of her ailing son, claiming that she was unable to get an ambulance because the available vehicles were deployed to an event presided over by Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika.
According to the woman, she had requested an ambulance
from Nakuru Provincial General Hospital (PGH) to transfer her sick
baby to another hospital for urgent medical attention.
However, she was reportedly informed that the
ambulance could not be available at the time.
The mother claims that the ambulance had been deployed to
the Nakuru Showground, where Governor Kihika was holding a public
function.
The incident has sparked anger on social media, with many
Kenyans questioning whether ambulances should be tied to political events while
patients require urgent medical services.
Some netizens asked whether the meeting qualified as an
emergency that required ambulances to remain stationed at the venue instead of
serving patients in need.
