Monday, March 2, 2026 - A helicopter was forced to make an emergency landing at a private homestead on Monday morning after experiencing technical issues mid-air, raising fresh concerns about the safety of privately operated choppers hired by individuals.
According to reports, the aircraft developed mechanical
problems while in flight, prompting the pilot to execute a precautionary
landing to avert a possible disaster.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The incident comes just days after the tragic helicopter
crash that claimed the life of MP, Johana Ng’eno, further fueling public
anxiety over the airworthiness and maintenance standards of some private
helicopters operating locally.
