Monday, February 9, 2026 - A concerned social media user has exposed the pathetic state of the road leading to Tourism Cabinet Secretary Rebecca Miano’s home.
Photos circulating online show vehicles stuck in thick mud
after a heavy downpour, with motorists struggling to navigate the nearly
impassable stretch.
According to reports, the road had been earmarked for
tarmacking and construction works were ongoing before President William Ruto
took over power.
However, the project stalled midway.
Despite Ruto later relaunching the works and publicly
promising to complete the tarmacking, little to no progress has been made.
Ironically, the area MP, Faith Gitau, is known to be a staunch supporter and close ally of the President, raising questions about why residents are still grappling with poor infrastructure.
