Monday, February 09, 2026 - The family of 30‑year‑old Kenyan student, Edna Mmbali Ombakho, is living through a nightmare after she went missing in the United Kingdom more than a week ago.

Edna, a Masters student at York St. John University’s London campus, was last seen on Sunday, February 1st, 2026, in Wraysbury, Berkshire.

Her relatives in Kitale, Trans Nzoia County, raised the alarm after she failed to make her usual calls home, describing her silence as completely out of character.

According to Thames Valley Police, Edna stepped out for a walk and never returned.

She is 5ft 5in tall, of small build, with braided hair, and is known for her soft‑spoken nature.

At the time of her disappearance, she wore a khaki long coat with a fur‑lined hood, knee‑high boots and glasses.

Edna has been living in Wraysbury with her boyfriend since December 2024, and police have already taken his statement as part of the investigation.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.

Her family’s plea captures their anguish: “We are deeply concerned for her safety and are asking anyone who may have seen or heard from her to please come forward.”
