2025 - City lawyer, Ahmednasir Abdullahi, has slammed former Deputy
President Rigathi Gachagua after he called on US President Donald Trump to
conduct a Venezuela-style operation in Kenya and arrest suspects linked to the
Minnesota fraud case.
Speaking during a church service at AIPCA Kiratina in Kiambu
County on Sunday, January 4th, Gachagua urged Washington to
fast-track investigations into stolen funds allegedly used to bankroll
President William Ruto’s 2022 campaign.
He further claimed that the BBS Mall in Eastleigh was built
using proceeds from the fraud, linking its ownership to associates of the Head
of State.
Gachagua suggested Trump should bypass Kenya’s extradition
process and “send a plane” to seize suspects, similar to the approach used in
Venezuela.
Responding on X, Ahmednasir dismissed the remarks as
reckless and insulting.
“Hon @Rigathi thinks America is led by liars/dimwits like
HIMSELF. He doesn’t know America knows the colours & sizes of his underwear
and knows too well the source & funds that built BBS Mall,” he posted.
The lawyer went further, branding Gachagua a “tribal ayatollah” with pretensions to national leadership.
