Wednesday, January 14, 2026 - Controversial city lawyer, Raymond Nduga, is currently in custody following his arrest over the alleged assault of his girlfriend, identified as Nyar Samburu.
According to sources close to the case, Nduga was arrested
on Sunday
and presented in court on Monday
for the first time.
He was later taken back to Dagoreti Police
Station, where he is being held pending his transfer to Industrial Area Remand Prison.
Through a friend, Nduga has shared his version of events,
claiming that he had a disagreement with his girlfriend the night before his
arrest.
He alleges that after the altercation, the woman left with
his phone and car keys.
An undisclosed amount of money also went missing from his
bank accounts.
He has since been unable to access his phone and social media accounts.
Nduga says he has been forced to rely on friends to
communicate as he remains in custody.
The embattled lawyer is now appealing for help to raise Ksh 50,000 cash bail,
stating that he is currently unable to access his funds.
He claims he will refund
the money once released.
Nduga first came into the public eye after a video surfaced
showing him assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Doris, at a city restaurant.
Following the breakup, he started a relationship with Nyar Samburu, who is nursing injuries after the assault incident.
