Thursday, January 29, 2026 - Traffic was temporarily disrupted along the Nairobi Expressway after a luxurious Range Rover burst into flames under unclear circumstances.
The incident occurred at around 9:04 a.m as the vehicle was headed towards Mlolongo.
According to an eyewitness, the car suddenly began emitting smoke while in motion before erupting into flames moments later.
Emergency response teams were swiftly dispatched to the scene to contain the fire.
Traffic police officers also moved in, temporarily halting traffic along one side of the expressway to allow firefighters to extinguish the blaze and ensure the safety of other motorists.
No injuries were reported, and preliminary assessments indicate that the fire may have been caused by a mechanical fault.
