Tuesday, December 09, 2025 - A Kenyan lady has sparked a conversation online after issuing a cautionary message to motorists about leaving their cars and keys with car wash attendants.
Sharing her experience on social media, she noted that many
car wash bays operate without proper tracking systems, making it easy for
vehicles to end up in the wrong hands.
She recounted how she had dropped her car at different
stations and later sent a relative to collect it - only to discover that
attendants handed over the keys without asking a single question.
Shockingly, none of them even verified whether he had
arrived with the car.
Her story has prompted calls for car wash operators to adopt
simple safety measures like owner tags and basic verification processes to
ensure vehicles are released only to their rightful owners.
