Thursday, October 2, 2025 - Police officers from Bondo Police Station in Bondo Sub-County have intercepted a motorcycle transporting a consignment of narcotic drugs along the Bondo-Ratiya Road.

During the operation, officers arrested the rider, while a pillion passenger managed to escape on foot.

A subsequent search revealed 65 brooms of suspected cannabis sativa, with an estimated street value of Ksh 32,500, hidden inside a metallic box and two bags.

The suspect is currently in police custody and is set to be arraigned in court once investigations are complete.

The recovered drugs have been secured at the station as exhibits.

In a statement, the National Police Service commended the officers for their vigilance and reiterated its unwavering commitment to combating drug and substance abuse across the country.
