Tuesday, March 11,
2025 - A public notice has been issued regarding the estate of the late
businessman Gerishon Kirima, warning the public against making payments to
Teresia Wairimu Kirima, whose authority over the estate has been revoked.
The notice follows a High Court ruling delivered on 21st
February 2025 in Succession Case No. 1298 of 2011, in which the court revoked
the Grant of Letters of Administration that had previously been issued to
Teresia Wairimu Kirima as a co-administrator.
Consequently, the court appointed Anne Wangari Kirima and
Stephen Kirima as the legal administrators of the estate.
Teresia Wairimu Kirima is no longer authorised to manage,
collect rent, or interfere in any way with the assets registered under the name
of the late G.K. Kirima.
However, the notice states that she has been purporting to
collect rent in cash and through unauthorised agents from tenants occupying
properties under the estate.
The administrators have urged the public not to make any
payments to her or her agents regarding any of the properties.
Anne Wangari Kirima and Stephen Kirima, the appointed
administrators, have reiterated that Teresia Wairimu Kirima has no mandate to
interfere with any aspect of rent collection or estate management.
They have warned that any tenant or occupant who makes
payments directly to her does so at their own risk.
Teresia Wairimu is Kirima’s third wife.
