Wednesday, September 2, 2026 - Dr. Clara Nafula Wanyonyo, an obstetrician at the Aga Khan Hospital’s Kisumu branch, is at the center of a growing scandal following allegations that she secured a promotion through a romantic relationship with her married boss.
According to a source within the hospital, Dr.
Clara was appointed Head of Department in less than six months, leapfrogging
colleagues who have served for decades and boast significantly more experience.
The source claims she engaged in an
endless series of romantic escapades with her boss, Dr. Bernard Oduor, which
ultimately paved the way for her promotion.
In
addition to the promotion controversy, the source also revealed that Dr. Clara
has been abusing Codeine, a highly addictive prescription drug.
She has since been summoned by the hospital’s disciplinary committee over the alleged substance abuse.
