Saturday, September 12, 2026 - James Ikonya, a senior medical practitioner, fell in love with a single mother identified as Wairimu after his marriage crumbled, and they moved in together, unaware of what would follow later.
After living together for some time, the two reportedly
started having issues in the house.
One day, Wairimu reported Ikonya to the police, accusing him
of preying on her 15-year-old daughter.
He has now been sentenced to 20 years in prison after being
found guilty.
Ikonya was a senior medical practitioner at a county government
hospital, earning over Ksh 100,000 per
month.
He drove a good car, operated a successful business in
Maralal, and was living a modest life.
He has now left everything behind to serve his 20-year jail term.
