Police arrest Gen-Z criminals terrorizing Kisumu residents at night and recover crude weapons - They are aged between 19-24 (PHOTOs)

Friday, August 7, 2026 - Police officers in Kisumu East Sub-County have arrested five young men suspected of being part of a criminal gang that has been terrorizing residents at night.

The suspects, aged between 19 and 24, were apprehended during a midnight intelligence-led operation conducted by officers from Migosi Police Station.

The raid targeted a suspected gang hideout at a deserted house in the Corner “S” area of Kasule Sub-Location, Kolwa Central.

According to police, the suspects are believed to be part of a criminal network that has been causing fear among residents in Lolwe, Mambo Leo, Ogango and neighbouring areas, particularly at night.

During the operation, officers recovered an assortment of crude weapons, including two knives, one sword and two wooden clubs.

The five suspects were escorted to Migosi Police Station, where they were placed in custody pending completion of investigations and processing before being arraigned in court.
