2026 - President William Ruto has expanded his multi-billion helicopter
fleet after the delivery of a luxurious Airbus H130.
Photos of the newly acquired chopper were shared on the company’s X handle, sparking reactions online.
“We just delivered the H130 helicopter to Kenyan operator Rotorjet Aviation. From passenger transport to aerial work, the H130 continues to define excellence in the intermediate single-engine market. Thank you to our customers worldwide for their continued trust,” Airbus said in a statement.
Rotorjet Aviation, based at Wilson Airport in Nairobi, is associated with Victor Kipngetich.
The firm specializes in executive helicopter charters, conservation, and tourism services in East Africa.
It is a sister company to Kwae Island Development Ltd (KIDL), which is directly linked to President William Ruto.
The aircraft was imported through Rotorjet Aviation as a proxy arrangement, with some claims suggesting that the real ownership may be linked to President Ruto’s KIDL.
Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua had previously claimed that Ruto was planning to acquire a fleet of helicopters ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
