Tuesday, April 21, 2026 - There was drama at Mbagathi Hospital after social media personality, Madollar Mapesa, confronted medical staff over allegations that a patient was disconnected from oxygen due to an unpaid bill of Ksh 845,000.
According to Madollar, the patient had been admitted and
placed on oxygen for several days before the machine was withdrawn when the
family was unable to clear the bill.
The oxygen was reassigned to another patient, reported to be
more financially stable.
The situation escalated after a relative of the deceased was
asked to settle the hospital bill before collecting the body.
Mapesa, who visited the facility, accused the hospital staff
of negligence and demanded answers over the incident, which has since sparked
outrage on social media.
