Wednesday, March 4, 2026 - The identities of the two young men who were reportedly lynched by a mob during President William Ruto’s rally in Dagoretti has emerged, sparking outrage and grief across social media.
According to local sources, the victims attended the rally
but were suddenly accused of theft amid chaotic scenes.
They were accosted by a mob and killed on the spot.
One of the residents has disputed claims that the two were
involved in criminal activity, saying the men were engaged in a local gas
business and may have been victims of mistaken identity.
Tragically, one of the victims was barely 20 years old,
highlighting the senselessness of the violence.
