Blow to ESTHER MUSILA as she loses control of late husband’s estate after marrying GUARDIAN ANGEL - Her son filed case in court! (DETAILs)

Monday, March 30, 2026 - Popular Kenyan social media personality, Esther Musila, has been dealt a severe blow after the High Court revoked her authority to administer the estate of her late husband, businessman Erick Kiptanui Naibei.

The ruling followed a petition filed by her eldest son, Gideon Mallan, who accused her of mismanagement, fraud and concealing assets.

Naibei, who died in 2016, left behind a vast estate comprising shares, property and significant cash holdings.

Esther was initially appointed sole administrator under a grant of letters of administration, giving her control over the estate on behalf of her children.

However, Gideon challenged her role, arguing that since all beneficiaries were adults, the estate should be jointly managed or distributed equally.

In her defense, Esther alleged that Gideon was a drug addict and therefore incapable of handling his inheritance.

The court ordered assessments, which found Gideon to be of sound mind, gainfully employed and capable of managing his affairs.

Investigations further revealed inconsistencies in Esther’s administration, including questionable signatures and deliberate non‑disclosure of certain assets.

A major turning point came with Esther’s remarriage to gospel singer, Guardian Angel.

Legally, remarriage can affect a widow’s standing, and in this case, the court ruled that it undermined her exclusive authority to administer the estate.

Consequently, the High Court revoked Esther’s grant and ordered that the estate be distributed equally among her three children - Gideon, Gilda and Glen.

Her remarriage also weakened her claim as a beneficiary.

This ruling has set a precedent on estate management involving widows where multiple adult beneficiaries are involved.
