Tuesday, February 17, 2026 - Former Meru Governor, Kawira Mwangaza, has ventured into business following her impeachment.

The former County boss has joined the jua kali sector and is now running a motorbike spare parts shop in Meru town.

Taking to her social media platforms, Mwangaza promoted the business and appealed to boda boda riders and residents to support her new venture.

She urged customers to visit her shop and help spread the word.

Her move has sparked mixed reactions online, with some Kenyans praising her resilience and entrepreneurial spirit, while others expressed surprise at her transition from public office to small-scale business.

Mwangaza was impeached after a prolonged political standoff with members of the Meru County Assembly, bringing her tenure as Governor to an end.
