Wednesday, January 28, 2026 - Police in Mlolongo have arrested a woman identified as Linet Munala following the deaths of her three young children at their family home.
According to preliminary police reports, the suspect
allegedly poisoned porridge and fed it to her one-year-old twins and four-year-old child
after a domestic dispute with her husband, Alex Mogeni, a driver with Galaxy Express
Parcels.
The dispute is said to have stemmed from accusations of
infidelity.
On the day of the incident, the husband was reportedly away
from home.
The children’s bodies were later discovered by a neighbour
after Munala allegedly called and asked her to check on them.
The neighbour alerted the authorities upon finding the
children unresponsive.
Munala is said to have fled the scene and was later arrested
in Syokimau
before being transferred to Mlolongo
Police Station for questioning.
The bodies of the children were taken to City Mortuary, where
postmortem examinations are expected to be conducted as investigations
continue.
Police say the suspect will be arraigned in court once investigations are completed.
