Tuesday, January 13, 2026 - Nairobi’s Citizen Engagement and Customer Service CEC, Geoffrey Mosiria, has spoken out following a viral incident involving American streamer, Darren Watkins Jr., popularly known as IShowSpeed, and Kenyan digital content creator, James alias Jaymoh Decin.
In a video shared on his official social media pages on
Tuesday, January 13th, 2026, Mosiria expressed concern over how
Jaymoh was treated during IShowSpeed’s electrifying Nairobi appearance.
The clip, shows the streamer pushing Jaymoh at the Kenyatta
International Convention Centre (KICC) when the local creator tried to approach
him.
Mosiria explained that Jaymoh had been invited to
participate in a challenge with IShowSpeed and had followed instructions given
by the organisers.
“It disturbed me to see Jaymoh Decin pushed.”
“He was invited to do a challenge, and the organisers
themselves told him to prepare before IShowSpeed arrived,” Mosiria said.
Calling for accountability, Mosiria urged IShowSpeed’s
management and event organisers to issue a public apology and arrange another
opportunity for Jaymoh to complete the challenge.
“I’m going to follow this matter up. They should apologise
and give him a fair chance,” he added.
Beyond the incident, Mosiria used the moment to rally
support for Kenyan creators.
He questioned why fans could passionately follow
international stars yet hesitate to uplift local talent.
“If we could follow IShowSpeed, why not Jaymoh? Let’s make
him our own celebrity,” he appealed.
IShowSpeed’s visit to Kenya, part of his Africa tour, drew
massive crowds across Nairobi as he livestreamed his experiences.
