Wednesday, January 28, 2026 - CCTV footage has emerged capturing the terrifying moment a machete-wielding gang attacked an innocent resident in Mwembe Kuku, Mombasa, during the night.
In the video, the gang is seen confronting the unsuspecting
victim while brandishing machetes, catching him off guard.
Fearing for his life, the victim flees the scene and leaves
his phone behind.
The attackers are then seen picking up the phone before
disappearing into the darkness, leaving the victim shaken.
The incident has sparked renewed concern over insecurity in
the area, with residents calling on authorities to step up night patrols and
improve surveillance.
