Monday, December 8, 2025 - New details have emerged regarding the sudden death of veteran journalist and KBC Mayienga FM boss, Festus Amimo, who collapsed inside a Nairobi hotel room.
According to a police OB report, Amimo was in the company of a woman at the time of the incident.
The woman, identified as Collata Ann Ngesa, reportedly alerted the hotel management after Amimo suddenly collapsed during their private moments together.
Security officers rushed to the room and found the media personality unresponsive.
Medics were called in but they unfortunately confirmed that he had already passed away.
Police processed the scene before transferring his body to the city mortuary.
Preliminary reports suggest that Amimo may have suffered complications linked to an alleged overdose of “blue pills,” though investigations are still ongoing.
The woman who was with him has already recorded a statement as part of routine investigations.
She is a junior staff at KBC.
