Wednesday, November 26, 2025 - Police officers in Kisumu Central Sub-County have arrested two suspected burglars believed to be behind a string of break-ins in the upscale Milimani Estate.
According to authorities, officers on routine patrol intercepted the suspects as they were allegedly loading stolen household items into a vehicle.
The duo attempted to flee but were swiftly apprehended.
Recovered items at the scene included a 65-inch television, household electronics, gym equipment, a CCTV camera, a cool box, a power supply unit, a solar panel, a projector, and other personal effects.
Further investigations linked the suspects to an earlier burglary at the same premises, from which additional items, including laptops, a gas cylinder, dumbbell weights, and a Hasa safe, had reportedly been stolen.
The damaged safe was later found abandoned at Islamia Cemetery on Airport Road.
The suspects are currently in custody at Kisumu Central Police Station pending arraignment, and the vehicle used in the incident has been impounded for further investigations.
The National Police Service commended the officers for their swift action and reaffirmed its commitment to combating burglary and related offences.
