RUTO bribes Kitui residents with Ksh 2,000, bread and soda to attend a meeting as his popularity dwindles (PHOTO)



Friday, November 14, 2025 - Residents of Kitui were given cash tokens, bread, and soda to attend a public meeting during President William Ruto’s tour of the region.

According to reports, the attendees received Ksh 2,000 each alongside refreshments as part of a mobilization effort meant to boost turnout.

A photo shared on social media shows packaged bread and soda bottles placed on seats at the venue where the meeting was held.

This comes at a time when President Ruto’s popularity is declining in some regions ahead of the 2027 General Elections, sparking debate over political mobilization tactics.
