Thursday, October 23, 2025 - Neno Evangelism Centre founder and controversial city pastor, James Maina Ng’ang’a, was caught on camera publicly rebuking a congregant during a live church service.
In the viral video, Ng’ang’a is seen preaching passionately
before suddenly pausing mid-sermon to shout, “Funga hiyo mlango,
stupid!”, leaving worshippers in stunned silence.
He went on to warn his congregants that no one should leave
the church while a sermon is in session, claiming that some members had been
losing their belongings during services.
Moments later, the outspoken preacher continued preaching as
though nothing had happened, while the embarrassed congregant quickly obeyed
his fiery command.
Netizens have since flooded social media with mixed
reactions - some calling the pastor “unnecessarily dramatic”.
This is not the first time the controversial man of God has
found himself trending for his theatrics in church.
From casting out demons with slaps to warning women about
wigs, Ng’ang’a has never been one to shy away from
controversy.
