2025 - Drama unfolded in Kinoo,
Kiambu County, after police officers on patrol rescued a Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS)
officer who had been kidnapped and stuffed in the boot of a car by a gang of
armed robbers.
According to reports, officers intercepted a suspicious
vehicle in the early hours of Monday morning.
When ordered to stop, the occupants tried to flee, sparking
a dramatic chase through the streets of Kinoo.
Two suspects were arrested, while others managed to escape.
Shockingly, when police opened the vehicle’s boot, they
found a man tied up and blindfolded - later identified as a KWS officer heading to
Nairobi.
He told police that the thugs had stolen money from his
mobile wallet and were targeting passengers along the route.
Several stolen phones were recovered from the suspects, and police have launched a manhunt for the remaining gang members still on the run.
