Friday, October 31, 2025 - A shocking CCTV video has surfaced showing two motorbike-riding thugs targeting women in broad daylight along General Mathenge Road in Westlands, Nairobi.
In the footage, the criminals, posing as ordinary boda
boda riders, are seen lying in wait before pouncing on their unsuspecting
victims.
One of the thugs is captured riding straight toward three
women walking casually by the roadside.
Without warning, he grabs a handbag from one of them and
speeds off, dragging her briefly before she falls to the ground screaming for
help.
Moments later, the same thug circles back and attempts to
snatch another woman’s bag.
In a dramatic twist, he loses balance and falls off, but
quickly regains his footing.
His accomplice, who had been stationed nearby pretending to
wait for a passenger, rushes to assist him, but their robbery attempt fails as
onlookers begin to raise the alarm.
The two suspects then flee the scene as a security guard
attempts to chase them down in vain.
The incident has reignited public concern over rising
daylight attacks in the capital, with Kenyans calling for tighter regulation of
boda boda operators.
