Sunday, September 7, 2025 – Vocal Canada-based Kenyan lawyer, Miguna Miguna, has launched a scathing attack on Kiharu MP, Ndindi Nyoro, accusing him of hypocrisy over his recent criticism of President William Ruto’s fiscal policies.
Speaking at the CITAM Business Forum Expo in Nyeri on
Saturday, September 6th, Nyoro decried the Government's borrowing
spree, claiming Kenya now borrows approximately Ksh 100 billion monthly.
He stated that the national debt had ballooned to over Ksh
12.1 trillion, with more than Ksh 3.5 trillion borrowed since Ruto assumed
office in 2022.
“We’ve borrowed three times what President Kibaki did in a
decade,” Nyoro said, warning that Kenya had become a reckless borrower.
However, Miguna dismissed Nyoro’s remarks as politically
motivated and lacking integrity.
In a fiery post, Miguna accused the MP of turning against
the system only after losing his influential role as chair of the Budget and
Appropriations Committee in March.
“Ndindi Nyoro is just a typical Kenyan conman. No
originality. Zero integrity. Corrupt like a raccoon!” Miguna wrote.
Miguna further criticized Nyoro for failing to address
fiscal mismanagement under former President Uhuru Kenyatta, suggesting
selective outrage aimed at settling political scores.
Nyoro has also opposed the Government’s decision to
securitize the Road Maintenance Levy Fund (RMLF), arguing that using the fuel
levy as collateral for a Ksh 175 billion loan is fiscally irresponsible.
Despite his concerns, the Government maintains that the move
has helped unlock stalled infrastructure projects.
