Wednesday, July 16, 2025 - Concerns are mounting after a video surfaced online showing mass ID registration taking place at the Kenyan-Ethiopian border in Moyale.
In the footage, tens of individuals, many reportedly without
proper documentation, are seen lining up to be registered.
The mass exercise has sparked tension, with critics now
accusing President William Ruto’s administration of engineering an elaborate
voter manipulation scheme ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Concerned Kenyans are questioning why such a high volume of
ID registrations is happening now, in a remote border town, without clear
communication from Government authorities.
Ruto’s allies, led by Kapseret Member of Parliament, Oscar
Sudi, have been publicly bragging about how they will rig the 2027 election,
sparking uproar among Kenyans.
The video also comes days after Wajir Woman
Representative Fatuma Abdi Jehow revealed plans to rig the election.
Speaking during her homecoming on Saturday, July 12th,
the lawmaker boldly claimed that MPs from North Eastern region will support
Ruto in 2027 and will go a step further to manipulate the outcome of the
election should the votes not be enough.
Insisting that it is not a secret, the Woman Representative
stated that MPs from the region will use underhand tactics to deliver victory
for Ruto.
