Tuesday, July 1, 2025 - The Parliamentary Service Commission (PSC) has announced several vacancies for security wardens to be stationed within Parliament Buildings.
In a public notice, the commission has called on qualified
candidates to submit their applications by July 15th, 2025.
The new recruits will be tasked with operating critical
security equipment, including X-ray machines, walk-through metal detectors,
underbelly cameras, CCTV systems, and bomb detectors.
Their role will include detecting and apprehending any
potential threats to parliamentary security.
Other duties will involve screening and vetting visitors,
regulating pedestrian and vehicle access, conducting security searches, and
maintaining security records such as the Occurrence Book for investigative
reference.
To qualify, applicants must hold a minimum grade of D+ in
the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) and have served in any
uniformed service for at least three years.
Interested individuals are required to submit a duly filled
PSC job application form, a cover letter, academic certificates, and
testimonials.
The forms are available for download from the PSC portal or
can be collected from the head of the Commission Secretariat.
Applications may be submitted via email or hand-delivered to
the Secretariat’s office.
