Wednesday, February 19, 2025 - Drama is unfolding in ODM as internal wrangles explode into a full-blown war of words between Embakasi East MP, Babu Owino, and Homa Bay Town MP, Peter Kaluma.
The feud kicked off when Babu accused party leader Raila
Odinga of betraying his loyal foot soldiers after appearing to
endorse UDA’s Johnson Sakaja for re-election as Nairobi
Governor in 2027.
Kaluma, a staunch Raila loyalist, fired back, reminding Babu
that Raila had given him the political lifeline to serve two terms in
Parliament - and that he owed him nothing.
But Babu wasn’t about to take the jab lying down.
He clapped back hard, hitting Klauma below the belt.
As tempers flare, ODM insiders fear this public brawl could signal deeper cracks within the party.
