Man, 32, kills himself inside luxury NYC hotel room

Saturday, January 11, 2025 - A 32-year-old man fatally shot himself in the head inside one of the most exclusive New York hotels on Thursday, Jan. 9.

Police found the hotel guest inside a room in the luxury Aman New York on West 57th Street and Fifth Avenue around 1:45 p.m., police sources told The Post.

EMS pronounced him dead at the scene.

Cops did not release his identity pending family notification.

“This afternoon, emergency services were called and responded to an incident in a room involving a guest. We are fully cooperating with emergency responders and will not comment further,” a spokesperson for the hotel told The Post.

A night’s stay at the pricey hotel, located in the historic Crown Building steps away from Trump Tower, ranges from $2,133 to $14,932, according to its website.
