Wednesday, September 11, 2024 - Fans are mourning an actor who died at just 26 after going missing.
James Hollcroft, who appeared in the TV show Como Dice el
Dicho (As The Saying Goes), was found dead close to his home in Mexico City.
He had disappeared mysteriously on September 3 and hadn't
been heard from since.
However, his heartbroken sister has now confirmed that he
was found dead last week.
She shared her devastation at the loss while paying tribute
to her sibling on social media.
In a statement shared on Instagram, Jane said: "I will
love you forever, thank you for the years we shared together and for having
given me the most magnificent moments I have ever experienced, you will always
be present in our hearts, little brother."
James' family and authorities are yet to confirm all of the
details surrounding his tragic death.
His sister Jane Hollcroft said James was returning to his
residence in Tizapan Mexico when he went missing.
The actor was studying at the nearby Artistic Education
Centre, which is operated by Televisa, a leading media organisation in Mexico.
His school said in a Facebook post: "Thank you for all
those good times we spent together during your acting training. We will carry
you in our memories and in our hearts, you will always be part of our CEA
family, farewell dear James Hollcroft."
James' friend, Luis Duval also said in a now-deleted post:
"I love you, I love you so much. I'm going to miss you. Fly high my boy. I
will always remember how great you are."
His brother-in-law Aruto Avila added: "I wish that
everything is just another dream, thank you for being the brother that you
were, the uncle that you were with your nephews, the great son that you were.
We are going to miss you a lot, this really breaks my heart. Today we are
lowering the curtain here but I know that you are in heaven doing that great
staging that you talked so much about."
While James was known for his role on Como dice el dicho,
based on real-life events, he also bagged a role in the 11th series of Dime
Queue si (Tell Me Yes), which is now airing its 16th season.
Fans have also mourned James' death, with one writing:
"A hug Jane, blessings to you and your family and your brother is in the
arms of God."
A second went on to add: "Rest in peace and strength
for you and your family."
Another penned: "Much peace, strength, all the
affection and deep love to his family. May his soul rest with the angels in the
sky surrounded by infinite love."
"Another little angel in heaven. May he Rest In Peace.
May God Have You In His Holy Kingdom. And Shine For The Perpetual Light,"
said another.
