Sunday, August 18, 2024 - The Los Angeles Police Department has arrested four members of the notorious Florencia 13 gang in connection with the fatal sh00ting of "General Hospital" actor Johnny Wactor in May.
The suspects, identified as Robert Barceleau, Sergio
Estrada, Leonel Gutierrez, all 18, and Frank Olano, 22, were apprehended on
Thursday afternoon, according to CBS News.
Barceleau, Estrada, and Gutierrez have been booked for
murder, while Olano faces charges as an accessory to the crime.
Wactor, best known for his role as Brando Corbin on the
long-running soap opera "General Hospital," was tragically k!lled on
May 25 while walking to his car after finishing a bartending shift in downtown
Los Angeles. The shooting occurred during an attempted theft of his car's
catalytic converter by the suspects.
Despite being rushed to the hospital, Wactor, 37, succumbed
to his injuries.
Anita Joy, a co-worker who was with Wactor during his final
moments, described his bravery in trying to dissuade the thieves from taking
his car. In an emotional Instagram post from May 29, she recounted how Wactor
remained calm and peaceful, asking the thieves to leave his car alone with his
hands open at his sides. Tragically, after being shot, Wactor collapsed into
her arms, responding with "Nope! Shot!" when she asked if he was
okay.
David Shaul, Wactor's talent agent, later paid tribute to
the actor, praising his hard work, tenacity, and never-give-up attitude.
In addition to his role on "General Hospital" from
2020 to 2022, Wactor also appeared in popular TV shows such as "Station
19," "Criminal Minds," and "Westworld."
